Re: Highjackthis

i had a file that's been sitting on my desktop for a few months. Never able to delete, tried doing in the dos prompt and also in safe mode. This program allows you to delete a stuborn file on startup.

Re: Highjackthis

i've only used it once or twice to get rid of some spyware. and had someone look at the logfile and told me what was safe to delete and it fixed my problems.

Also, you can go to hijackthis.de and paste your logfile and it will instantly tell you what's safe and what's not. Still up to you to use your best judgment.

It's still important that you know how to remove some of this information correctly. Doing things in the wrong order or wrong manner can occasionally leave you in just as bad of a position.
