Embedding album art into mp3s

I just want album art embedded into the mp3 so if i switch computers or use different programs, its already in the tag but nothing seems to do it 100%...please see what I've already posted in another forum below...any help guys????

Asked this on another forum

I use iTunes and have an iPod classic with about 2,000 single mp3s (don't care about these) and about 400 albums in mp3 format. I have the album covers for each of these saved in the folders with the songs for that particular album. I can drag and drop the album cover into iTunes which shows up in the program and on the iPod but doesn't embed them so when I get a new computer the artwork isn't tagged into it. I think if you right click and select "get info", you can put the artwork there which I believe embeds it and I also have a tag editing program which I can use, but I think I'd need to re-load all the edited mp3s back into itunes for the changes to take effect. What's the easiest way to do this? Just do it via iTunes "gen info" option?

Got this reply
What operating system are you using?

Replied with this
WindowsXP with a new ipod classic, 160 gig...I tried using the iTunes "get info" artwork but it didn't seem to work 100%. I used a program called TagScanner 5.0 and applied the artwork and then when I play it in iTunes it has the artwork there, so iTunes recognizes the change which is great..some of them appear on the ipod, some don't..wouldn't make sense to change the tag and then add it to itunes, why wouldn't the tag just make it work on the ipod all the time? .seemslike a tedious way to do it, was hping I could do it via iTunes, but hell, this seems to work..adds it to the permanent tag and updates immediately in iTunes...thoughts?

As far as I know, there's no way to do that.

Re: Embedding album art into mp3s

There's a way to do it.

Try either Media Monkey(it's free), or Tag&Rename.

Both programs are excellent. I recommend using a folder.jpg image in each album folder along with embedding the image in the mp3 tag with the programs I mentioned above.

Oh I also use iTunes (for playing music and iPods as well. My wife and I both use iPods)

I have all Windows 7 PCs as well.

The best way to do it is when you get new music, edit it with one of the programs I recommended, and then add it to your library in iTunes afterwards. Works like a charm. Or just remove all of the missing album artwork in your iTunes library and then fix it with an above program, then re-add it to the library.
