IGN readers respond to graphic video released earlier this week.

October 30, 2009 - A leaked video of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 caused controversy this week when it revealed a level in the game involving terrorists shooting civilians in an airport. Activision confirmed the video's legitimacy, adding that players will be able to skip over the gameplay should they find it too offensive.

We put up a poll to gauge reader reaction to the video. Around 22,000 of you responded over the course of two days.

Here are the results!

Question: Does the leaked Call of Duty footage show a scene that goes too far?


43% - It is fine

34% - I haven't watched it, I don't want spoilers

13% - I have no interest in Modern Warfare 2

10% - It is tasteless


As you can see, close to half of IGN readers had no problem with the airport scene. Meanwhile, the other half decided not to watch the video or thought it was tasteless.

Some gamestops are selling MW2 early. I was curious if ours were, so I called but they were already closed. I'm sure they prob aren't around here, cause they are too stupid to get in the know about things around here.

WALMART will be handing out Autographed covers of the game to the first 20 people in line tonight! I'm going to buy the game there! I already pre ordered it for 20$ gift card, and I'ma go buy it tonight!

I wonder how early I'll have to line up to be the first 20? It starts at 12:01AM.

My area is kinda small, and I'm sure 95% will be at gamestop.

sweet.. I am in on this. I just called my local wallmart. She said that they had had around 200 calls today but no one had gone to the back yet to see if they had the game. I said dont you think it would be a good idea to go check. So I got her to go check and they have it. The have posters and the autographed covers. I am going to be standing in line to get mine. First time I have ever done that before. Now if I can just get my xbox live to work right.

Wal-Mart – The first 20 customers in line at any 24-hour Wal-Mart store to pick up Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will get an autographed copy of the game, signed by the development team. The game will be on sale at midnight in these 2600 stores. It looks like there are also posters that feature the cover of the game on-hand to hand out as well.

thanks to me eh? LoL I just found out about it this morn.. I think I'm the only one who has called, because the lady put me on hold for about 12 mins. She was very helpful. I wanted to know where to line up, and we can line up anytime at the electronics. I'm going right after class around 7pm

They told us to line up in electronics for the release of the PS3's. 4 hours later they decide to move where they were gonna give them out at. Have you read anything? Gamespot forums and quite a few other forums people are posting how they were able to get the game from gamestop and a few other places. Because some gamestops were told they could sell them sooner. Some independent shops were selling them early and people were canceling their pre order with gamestop, which was causing gamestop to lose money!

not to get off topic. "lol" But I have never been on xbox live. I run mobil broad band can some one tell me what is the lowest conection or the highest ping rate I can run and still have a little or no lag. I would really like to play this online. I know a couple of guys around here that are getting it and I think It would be cool. I can down load the updates just fine. Heck I did a update last night.

Hey kid! yeah, it NOW says Activision didn't give them permission. When I ****ing read it the second it was posted that was the case! Just because you read something late doesn't mean that I was giving incorrect information. I was relaying what the site said at the time, and what was circulating on other forums.

I didn't see the need to read the ****ing article again because I knew what it had said, until they updated it sometime in the past day.



Anyways, I'm at walmart chilling in the site to store area waiting to get the autographed game cover!

I was standing at the electronic section and they told me aftert an hour they are moving it to site to store, and there is a bench seat here. LoL I've got my bookbag with my iphone, laptop, soda, chargers and all just relaxing lol
