tire question

ok, first off, im not sure i put this in the right place, if not, i apologize. if i did, i knew that . anywhoo, right now im running 205-75-15's.

ive been doing some roof work on this ladys house, long story short, she gave me all the stuff in her husbands garage *he passed away*

in there were 4 brand new, still with the stickers on them 205/55-15 kuhmo ecsta tires. so my question is, how much will it drop my truck putting these tires on? has anyone ever ridden on this size tires? how was the ride?

i had 205-55-16s on my 96 z24, and i loved the way they rode. i wanna know some opinions before i have them put on, and hate it, when i could sell them and make a nice profit for brand new tires . thanks, In advance, Dan.

Re: tire question

without a 5" drop or more, those tires will look like shit. ride, bit firmer, but if thats what you like (usually a better 'feel' for the road) itll be good

check how old the tires are tho. they may be dry rotted too.

and there is a 'wheels and brakes' section. there is a sticky up top with a link to a tire size calculator which will tell you how much you will drop

Re: tire question

thanks guys, ill drop about 1.5 inches with these tires, and the tires are only about 4 months - 5 months old, they look perfect, i was pushing on them and flexing them, no signs of cracking. i think im gonna measure the height of my exaust and x member and u bolts and axle, then see if i can clear. and if i can put em on. thanks again guys

Re: tire question

They are also gonna cause your RPMs to be higher than they should be in any given gear. Personally, I'd sell them and give the lady the $$. If she refuses then use the $$ for the right size tires.
