Right Hand Drive
Yeah, I know all about drive-thru's and toll bridges, but want to do this anyway!
Looking a power steering box that will work as a RHD unit. Anybody have some suggestions? 96 S10 2WD, SBC Thanks |

My suggestion is not to do it. WTF, do you deliver the mail or something?

Re: Right Hand Drive
The only real downside I found is passing parked cars in a narrow road. The obvious tolls/drive thrus I never bothered with before anyway. As for overtaking on a highway? No idea. I drive a 2.8.
People don't notice though. They'll put their bags in the footwell, sit down, shut the door and then notice there's a steering wheel in front of them. Because I'm courteous enough to unlock their door first for them they scurry off the other side and try to get in. Edit: Try to source a RHD second gen system, dash and everything. That'd be cool. My next purchase will be a RHD second gen Blazer. Shame they only do autos though ![]() Last edited by Ilikemice : 03-21-2009 at 03:18 PM. |

Re: Right Hand Drive
yes they are, and your best bet is to go to a post office vehicle maintenance facility and ask if they are willing to part with any of the parts you need. the mail trucks (llv's) are MOSTLY s10 frames with aluminum bodies and they run full bow tie drive train. my dad has 20 years in at the garage where we live, im so as far as what they run arround here i know whats up. identical steering box and linkage just on the other side. might need a whole front frame clip tho, and good luck with a dash- |
