doing the pinnon seal on my 99 jimmy and need to know the fluid type to refill rearend.

Differential, Standard, Front and Rear Axle
Axle Lubricant (GM P/N 1052271) or SAE 80W-90 GL-5 Gear Lubricant.

Differential, Locking
Axle Lubricant (GM P/N 1052271) or SAE 80W-90 GL-5 Gear Lubricant.
Do not add friction modifier.

So the additives for the limited slip are not needed? The chart says yes for a blazer but no for an s10.

Nevermind, the owners manual says no friction modifier for the G80.

the g80 has no clutch packs

the torsen has no clutch packs either

if you have a posi that has clutch packs that wngage then you need the modifier

75w140 works to
factory calls for 80w90
