popping and poor ride
I have a 97 Jimmy 4x4 with 110k on it, and the suspension needs some lovin. If i put my left foot on the floorboard while driving I can feel a popping, or clicking underneath my foot. What could this be? Overall, the ride quality is shit, what can I do to improve it? What kind of shocks, etc.. will make my ride more enjoyable?
I go on 1000 + mile rides from Mass to Indiana all the time so I need a nice, dependable suspension. Any and all advice helps, I only get a few more paychecks before I go back to Indiana, so i need to spend them wisely. Thanks! |

Re: popping and poor ride
broken shock causes both the popping and the poor ride, you can go to any parts store and ask them what kind of shocks are the best, they'll hook ya up

Re: popping and poor ride

Re: popping and poor ride
Check into torsion bar mounts, they were a problem on the first gen 4x4. See if you can get a shop to check them, if bad replace yourself. A shop manual would be a wise investment.
