Re: manual steering

Imagine you could make a bracket and run a dummy pully like older 2.5s have. or just measure and get a smaller belt.

You Fail. Everytime.

Your asking how to LOWER the value of your truck signifigantly by taking off a power steering system that works fine and helps the truck drive, as well as retains its value? Taking it off is the dumbest idea you have had all year. What the **** benefit are you going to get? Manual steering is reserved for the shittiest of shitty vehicles. Work trucks. Now you cant make turns, you cant park in parking lots as easy, and now letting someone else use your truck will think all S-10 are broken pieces of shit!!!

Do you think your truck is magically going to have more power afterwards? Do you think you will lower 60 foot times, get you women, and possibly laid?

Get and S10 and start taking shit off it and lower its value. Might as well shoot yourself to be safe.

If I was a betting man, I would say its for his truck in his avatar. Pretty sure he has already hurt the resale value.

Anyway its probably for show, to clean up the engine bay.

Did you tell ANY of us why you are deleting your steering system? Did you? Im not seeing it above. Thats what I thought dumbshit. YOU asked if its possible to leave the whole steering system stock, and just reroute the belt, not even putting in a manual steering box. NOT SMART.

So you are flaunting that piece of shit 2.2L chevy around as your badass show truck? You think someone will notice your shitty power steering delete???? I bet most people think your an idiot and that your truck is broken if they drove it. People delete power steering on SHOW TRUCKS.

Last I read you called us a shitty forum because someone told you to get a delete pulley to keep your pump spinning and you told them that their info is useless. They tried to help and you didnt take advise, so now were all a bunch of pieces of shit????????????

Considering Oregon is probably the best state to live in I have found, you can take your ideas about the trail and shove them up your ass. Id love a ride in a real horse powered wagon anyday! Maybe I should delete the steering on that too and just yell at the horse to turn

Re: manual steering

Some here need to learn some manners.

Putting manual steering in and deleting power steering, I would assume means changing the steering gearbox to manual and removing the power steering pump. And it doesn't matter why.

It would appear from the link 94s10cpi posted that you could get the idler setup (8) from a manual steer 2.2L S10 to replace the pump (3) along with the appropriate belt. If that ain't enough info some more research.

No I ain't done it, my 2.5 is already manual steer.
