Exclamation I don't know what to do...please help!

I have a 2001 Xtreme which I lowered using 2" Chassis Tech spindles, 3" Chassis Tech angles blocks (It's extented cab), and Chassis Tech shocks all the way around. I noticed that the ride is pretty stiff, I feel everything. I am aware that this is normal because I now drive a lowered vehicle. I was reading some threads in this forum and I decided to check my bumpstops. Sure enough I looked under my truck and it was sitting on the bumpstops. So...I decided to cut the bumpstops down but when I did everytime I would hit even a small bump or pothole or driveway or whatever, I would hit the bumpstop bracked on the axel. So I put new bumpstops back in and I did not cut as much out of these because I figured I had just cut too much from the previous bumpstops. So...now my truck rides a lot smoother but still when I hit any kind of bump or anything I still bottom out. I do not want to cut the bumpstop bracket off. I don't know what to do. I like the ride but I do not want to keep bottoming out. What should I do? Should I try to get different shocks? What about Toxic Shocks? Any advice will be helpful. Thank you.

cut the bracket off and it will improve the ride greatly, why don't you want to cut it off? If you are afraid of possibly bottoming the frame out on the axle then you can get some aftermarket, flat, round bumpstops and attach them directly to the frame. If you put stiffer shocks in, then it MIGHT help with bottoming out but it's not going to improve the ride.
