Front end problem

I have a 2000 4x4. My steering is loose and can move it like a half to 1 inch while driving straight. When I turn to the left it feels fine but when I turn to the right it feels looser then turning left. Going around a slight curve to the right and then I straighten the wheel I feel alittle pop or a jerk in the wheel. When I jack it up to look at it the ball joints are fine, the only thing I see is that the Idler arm and pitman arms moves and I'm not putting alot of force on the wheels, I hardly push on them and they move. I replaced damn near everything under there except rag joint and intermediate shaft. could it be them? or did I not put the idler arm in correctly which I dont see that happening. Any help is greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Front end problem

Control arm bushings have been replaced. I think im going to buy a used steering shaft and put in a universal and illimate the rag joint in all.

Re: Front end problem

Dont do that, just put a jeep steering shaft in it-real U joint, no more rag joint. I love mine, makes driving it completely different.

When you are checking your ball joints are they unloaded?
