Camaro rear sway bar position help
I recently put a 3rd gen Camaro rear sway bar on my 1st gen S10. I ended up drilling the holes a bit to far back and rotated the sway bar to where it's not quite parallel with the axle. It sits a bit back instead of being directly on top. What I'm curious about is with a sway bar mounted like this (just direct end links mounted to the frame) an I going to run into issues with there being 2 centers of rotation? Also I've been wondering if it's bad to have the bar moved back a bit like that, shold it be parallel with the alxe?

Re: Camaro rear sway bar position help
if im picturing what you are saying correctly,
as long as your mounts are stiff enough there should be very little difference. but a pic will help |

Re: Camaro rear sway bar position help
as long as it's parallel to the axle, where it is in relation to the axle doesn't matter. the only reason to put it directly above the axle is that then however you mount it to the axle is only dealing with compression/tension forces rather than trying to keep from twisting around the axle. in other words, if you have to rotate the mounts a little back to make it all work, it's fine.
