better steering 4x4
Hello,I have a 98 4x4 blazer 4 dr if that matters and it seems like the steering is real loose. On the highway if you turn the wheel to fast it responds to quick. Like when going straight if i turn the wheel left to right for a while it feels like it's swaying back and fourth. What would cause that, Also how can i fix it?
Thanks |

Re: better steering 4x4
Check your front swaybar drop links. Often they look OK and connected, but a closer look could find they aren't connected due to corrosion at one end.

Re: better steering 4x4
our idler arms have a tendency to get sloppy over time, they're not too expensive or hard to change... check that, your pitman arm's ball joint too.
also check that your idler arm bolts (2 of them thru frame) are good & tight. if they're loose, or if you replace the arm, put loctite on the bolts. |
