Air shocks?

I know nothing about air shocks. My friend bought an s10 and it has them in the back. Do they lower the truck or just used to make it sit higher if you increase the psi? Thanks

Re: Air shocks?

This is not the correct way to do this, however, they will "lift" the back end if you put air in them.

I have them on my truck, and I use them to raise the back end. My truck sat lower in the back then the front with factory suspension, so I use my shocks to raise the back end, I raised it about 1-2 inches. It also helps when I haul in my truck, so I don't bottom out as easily.

They should be used to help offset the weight when hauling, however, they will lift your back end if you increase the pressure.
