Re: 2wd to sfa

Why do you want to add a SFA if you're only going to stay 2wd?

Re: 2wd to sfa

The biggest problem you will run into is the frame crossmember is right where the axle needs to be. You need like 1 foot of lift just to clear the axle then add more for flex. If your just wanting lift and not 4x4 then look at spindle lifts, long travel control arms, etc.

Re: 2wd to sfa

sfa for the lift sounds like a bad idea no matter the clearance issues with the problems of geting custom leafs or sourcing a pair is a pain, not to mention if you wanted to 4 link.

hell i wouldn't do it because of embarassment and funny looks

edit: i just saw in your sig you already have 8'' of lift, seeing this i think that you should do sfa with watever lift it takes swap a transfercase make it happen and make it all work. it would be a great project and you get some respect from the 4x guys. but please dont put an axle in w/out it hooked up.

Re: 2wd to sfa

funny looks from 4x4s...haha...half of the z71s and other 4x4 dont even have a front drive shaft....now thats an embarrasment....4 wheel drive and not even a driveshaft...haha...but really how hard is it to weld on some hangers....go with yj springs and a cherokee axle....steering may be hard to do but the ifs guys do it....thanks anyway
