Re: Xtreme Clone
The Xtreme is an appearance package (Front air dam, fender flares, side skirts, rear quarter panel skirts, and special badging) that included the ZQ8 Sport Suspension package. This package was not exclusive to any particular body style (other than the crew cab and 4-door Blazer), engine/trans combination, or trim level (other than the minimum LS trim level). The ZQ8 Sport Suspension could be had without the Xtreme Appearance package. The ZQ8 package consists of 16"x8" alloy wheels with 235/55/16 tires, a quick ratio steering box, 1.5" lowering springs front/rear, larger sway bar in the front (borrowed from the Blazer), rear sway bar added (also from the Blazer), and an extra frame brace added on extended-cab models.

Re: Xtreme Clone
I've still got my factory Billstien shocks, front coils, and spindles off my xblazer. I'd sell them if you want them, but they heavy as shit and shipping probably gonna cost a ton. Let me know. Also, didn't they pull a leaf in the rear for the xblazers to compensate for the lowering of the front end (I might be dumb..)? Ah or you could just buy the kit for your year blazer, and then order the lowering components for whatever drop you want. Might be easier to find those parts instead of the xtreme ones.

Re: Xtreme Clone
You mentioned in your original post you wanna drop it 3/4. The ZQ8 springs will drop it 1.5". I suggest you use the ZQ8 coils in the front with a 2" spindle for a 3.5" drop, and 3" leaf springs with a 1" or 1.5" block. This will give you good ride and handling characteristics. Don't forget to cut off the stock bumpstop/bracket assembly in the rear. |

Re: Xtreme Clone
Clone of what? If it's a GMC then it's only a ZQ8 sport suspension truck not a Chevy Xtreme. S10's could be had with just the ZQ8 suspension and not the Xtreme package.
