What does the ZQ8 suspension consist of?

What components make up the ZQ8 suspension?

Spindles
Springs
Shocks
Etc....

I would like to lower mine a little more but am in fear if I buy 2" spindles I will already match what I have and be at the same height because there might already be 2" spindles on it. I think you know what i'm getting at.

On the ZQ8 suspension, the springs are 2" shorter, the spindles are like any other S10. If you get 2" spindles, you'll have a 4" total drop up front.

lowered leafs in the back. you could get away with installing blocks to lower the back.

Ok so I could just pick up a set of 2" spindles and 3" blocks and have a total of 4/5 drop? Would I have to change my shocks or get rid of the bump stops?

ya but it would be more like a 3.5/4.5 drop.....if you use spindles and blocks u will not have to do anything with the shocks....the mounting distances will stay the same...you might want to get stiffer shocks if you haul a lil somethin something every now and then but the zq8 shocks are actually real good drop shocks.....with a 3" blocks on top of the zq8 leafs you'll probably want to cut the bump stops off in the back....to the frame....becuase i would bottom out into the bumps over just about every bump...when i cut them off the ride quality increased a 100% easy.....here is step for step how to cut the bumps off from 98 ss on nos..... http://www.s10forum.com/forum/showth...ight=bumpstops
