those with heated mirrors
On your heated mirrors, is there a switch to turn on the heat or does it always heat the mirrors?
I just got some OEM heated power mirrors off ebay for my 2001 LS and I got them working and figured out which wires are for the heat. Im just wondering if you guys have a switch? And if so, where is it mounted? If there is a switch, I can go to a junk yard and find one. I just dont want to go looking for something that may not exist. Thanks fellas, Dwayne |

ah i see
So I need to look for a set of ac controls from an s10 or blazer that has the little defrost button on it. Im betting its gonna be the same plugs but with another plug or additional wires in the existing harness for the defrost button. I better get the pigtails too incase I need those.
THanks guys you answered my question. Dwayne Last edited by 96hoopty; 08-12-2003 at 10:34 PM. |

Yea they're correct. You can get the controls out of a truck that has the heated mirrors. The button has an icon of a little mirror with heat waves on it.

Ya here in Texas I doubt I will ever need the heated feature, but I just figure since I have the mirrrors I might as well hook up the heat so it all works like its supposed to.
I found an ac control panel on eBay for $19.99. Its out of a blazer so the switch says rear instead of the little picture of the mirror. I can live with that. Thanks for all the replies. Dwayne |
