any body panel will warp if you weld too fast... You gotta spot, and wipe down with a rag full of cool water and repeat.

Bah, mines got a huge dent at the bottum of the gate from where he welded and it warped, but other then that its flawless. Only 20 bux.

actually i found using the rag method can only make things worse. and using an air gun can do the same thing by cooling it down too quick. i like to let the tacks "air dry" so to speak. it may take longer, but its worth not warping the crap out of the panel and making more work for yourself.

the first thing i ever tried to shave was my gas lid on my 92 and i used the wet rag. warped it from the body line down and about 10 inches forward and back.....never again! what sucked was it was a brand new bedside less than a year old!

I left my door badges on because I like them too, but the tailgate and LS badges had to go.

Its an 01 4.3 with almost full dual stainless exhaust, from the catalitic converter all the way back with 4" tips, stainless gauge insert with white background and flames that flick with the beat, cool air intake, oversized mass air...

most body men do not like the metal fusor or bonding products. a weld is a much better choice and helps prevent ghosting.

I have that gap on mine big time, worse then his. its just from the airdamn clips being broken so only the ends are holding it onto the actual bumper

yea that gap is the airdam sagging...i was told that the best way to cure might be to use some self taping screws from the inside thru the skirt and metal bumper...

mines just missing the clips that hold it together. im gonna get some stainless bolts and fender washers to hold it together. all my other clips were either drug thru, which is funny cause im staic, or just completely broken. better than having the crack in the middle, like everyone else...

Looks good. I think you should go back and paint your handles green to match, and like someone else said get the grille done. I think getting the top and bottom pieces green, but leave the bar across the center black would look good.
