yea, it does suck. my brother hit a deer and got like $1200 outta it. sounds like yours was worse than that.

no it really looked worse than it was it destroyed the grill shell and bent the radiator core support but i got that straightened out for free, but if you look at some of my pics close enough you will notice that my billet grill is bent, i would post more pics with the step shavers on but there are so many already on here everyone is sick of seein my truck

not bad, I have a question and this is gonna sound so retardidly newbish to you guys but how do you get the bowtie out of the grille? I'm interested in painting mine white (like the truck) but dont wanna break it tryin to get it out and to keep in good spirits here are a couple pics of my truck





and dont knock the tails just yet, they came on the truck im lookin for a set of replacements I like

the tails arents that bad, a roll pan should be first on your list

have you popped the grille off yet? its easy if you havent. just pop the hood and pull the grille away from the truck haha. its held on with clips that, with a little tug, they let go of the rad support. after that you just need a deep socket (1/2" if i remeber correctly?) and its 2 self threading caps that need to be removed to get the bow tie off. its actually really easy. i think it was the first thing i did to my truck. when i put it back on i tried my best to keep the caps in the same threads they already made so that it wouldnt wear out the plastic that holds the bow tie on, but i doubt it matters.

once you get the grille off, just look behind where the bow tie sits and you'll see what i mean.

yah replacing, painting the bowtie should be your easiest mod...I went with a chrome one tho

That's a nice truck man! where did you get the black mesh inserts at? I have been debating mesh or billet inserts on mine, but I really like the black on yours.



How did you get a 3.5" front drop? 2" spindles and....3" springs? (1.5" lower than the factory ZQ8's). How does it ride?

BTW, you need to chop than antenna down about two feet!!!

i cant find any all clear corners they really dont sell them anymore only the ones with the amber in the edge...as for teh tails light does shine thru pretty good when i had the step shavers done i told the painter to tint them he told me he did 50% clear and 50% paint...they look nice they blend in pretty...when i first got them my buddy thats a cop told me that during the day i might get a ticket but (knock on wood) i havent yet...

i always see clear corners for sale here on the forum. try the classified. im sure they are out there man. the orange just doesnt flow with the rest of the truck... ya know?

hell i got a set in my attic laying around. Id sell them to you but for the price Id get out of used clear corners and im too lazy to go threw the trouble of packaging them up and mailing them out, you might as well spend like $30 on ebay for them at the most i bet

aight thanks...the blue carpet was free i friend from my club gave it to me...its different and makes the iterior pop out not just teh basic black....honestly i really didnt look into clear corners not much...i bought the ones i have for 10 buks on ebay...if i have some extra cash next month ill pick them up! Actually what i need are the fog light assembly i put HID's in the fog lights and one got loose and burnt thru the back of teh assembly!

Jeeze man HID's in a stock housing?? Look on ebay for knock off OEM ones, i found a set for 40 shipped, both of them. There 'spensive from the dealer.

Oh and when you get dem clear corners make sure you use silicone on the back around the bulbs etc or else they may get condensation in them, at least it happened to me a few times and the shit will rust and look nasty. Ive gone through 3 sets cause of that.
