Re: need extreme ansers
Extreme Ansers Xtreme Answers Sorry guy, your fresh meat around here! You sure you got the right belt?May have to much tension on it,or maybe your compressor pully is overstressed and or going bad, since you have not used your AC in awhile. Last edited by jtcfanof3 : 06-14-2008 at 12:38 PM. |

Re: need extreme ansers
Just a little GM experience here, but your sure its not coming from the transmission correct? If your getting that on excel and wile slowing down? If its the belt, this will fix it. Get a bar of soap (zest, lava) whatever, and while the truck is idiling place the soap against all 4 sides of the belt, dont hold it there though LOL* If its the belt, it will immediately stop squealing, secondly, check your ac compressor and be sure the clutch is not stuck engaged, this will cause a higher pitch whistling. Finally, but just as a closing thought, if you have an aftermarket intake, make sure its tightly sealed and their are no leaks going into the intake (including any spacers you may have installed) GL.
