Help v-8 my xtreme!

I got a 2000 xtreme and I would like to put a 6.0 vortec out of a full size truck. Do you think it will fit? What special parts do I need? Do you know where I can a turbo kit for a 6.0?

Thanks for info!

Yes it will fit. Check the V8 section. You need to do some fab work, some wiring work and some other fun stuff. Anything is possible, it comes down to time and money. as far as a turbo, check out STS rear mounts, im sure you can come up with a turbo system through them and then you will need someone to flash your computer to accomodate it.

If you want to spend all that money on a turbo, personally, I would just go with a more potent LSx engine off the bat. Mess with the turbo later. 500hp is pretty easy to come across N/A and that probably a hell of a lot more power than you need.

Go to the LSx part of the forum. Almost all of your questions can be answered there, maybe not the turbo question. Here's one thread with a bunch of info about swapping LSx's:

And the LSx Section:
