Re: Heater ?
I found a write up on this at one time. I dont remember who did it, but I copied it so when I have time to do this on mine I would have the instructions:
Open the glove box, lift up the wire hook and swing the door down. Now you will see right in front of you this actuator with the grey hose, take the grey hose off the vacuum actuator and stick a bolt in the end of it so it won't hiss or leak, tie it back so it won't rattle around and close the glove box. |

Re: Heater ?
^^^^ What he said.....It's just the way they came, i think it has something to do with the plug-in for electronic climate control availalbe in some. There is a write up on s10crewcab.com somewhere.

Re: Heater ?
Does everyone who did this 'fix' still have air blowing on their feet, or has it stopped completely? I did that 'fix' as well but I still get air blowing at my feet, but I can control the temp with the temp selector on the dash. I just don't want any air blowing period.
Thanks |

Re: Heater ?
I can't say for sure, because I never did the fix.....This is Canada, any extra hot air I can get I am keeping!
But if you can control the temperature of it maybe it is something else; The opening and closing of the vents themselves is done by vaccum....When my intake gasket was bad(causing a vaccum leak) sometimes my vents would act kinda weird and not open/close when I moved the selector. Presumably due to lack of vaccum?.....So maybe you've got a vaccum leak somewhere. |
