Gas Gauge on "Low Fuel"

and won't come off it, start the truck it sweeps just fine, but goes right back to "low Fuel". Even with a full tank. Any Ideas guys. It worked mint one day, next morning it was stuck. Anybody have a wire diagram I could follow to maybe find the fault?

Re: Gas Gauge on "Low Fuel"

Yeah, I had the same problem for a long time, and my truck "seemed" to be running fine, however, I just recently replaced the sending unit/fuel pump assembly, fixed the problem, and my truck runs remarkably better than it did. The guy in the link above however must have a different problem so... no way to know for sure, but I guess that is a good place to start... hope it helps bro!

Re: Gas Gauge on "Low Fuel"

I think I may have figured out the issue, well half way. theres a grey wire that goes to the sending unit and the fuel tank pressure sensor. Its the 5v referance wire for these two sensors. Well mine has 0v so odds are thats my issue, lol. Anybody know where this wire is fed from?

A lot of people have this issue, me too. I talked to a mechanic and he said the wire could be snagged causing it to go to full and empty.
