Bilstein Shock Part#s - for '02 Blazer Xtreme

Hey Guys -

Does anyone know which Bilstein shock model# is a correct replacement for an '02 Blazer Xtreme?

I'm getting my brakes done, and while I was at it was going to have the Belltech 2 / 2 drop done as well. Since all that hardware was coming off, I figure why not take care of the shocks too (vehicle has 119k on it - I'm sure their ready for a change).

I didn't see anything in the stickies - maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

Thanks - Ed D 'Beestly'

For those of you interested, I called Bilstein and got the appropriate part#s ...

For the Blazer Xtreme, you need...

Front - F4B46-1412-H0
Rear - F4B46-1413-H0

Looking at a minimum of $260 for the whole set.

I know, these are listed as being for the 4x4 (non-ZR2) Blazer, but apparently they work for the lowered (ZQ8) 4x2s as well.

Also, some older part#s I came across - that should still work - are...

Front - AK2040
Rear - AK2041

These also work for the GMC Typhoon, from the early '90s

I found a complete set for $150, giving them a try.

i called Bilstein as well on 07/12/2007 and this is the part number i got for a 2001 ZQ8 pickup for the front shock only. Autozone has the rears listed, but no one has the fronts....so hear you go

B46-1307

now i know this isnt for a blazer, but this is one of the few posts that showed up when searching so i thought i would share anyway

I would just go with some nitro drops shocks. They discontinued the ones I put on my truck the reg drop shocks. Now they got the drop shock 2 or something like that out, but you can still find the older model ones. They work great on my truck. I just ordered the rear ones to put on and it was only $50 for the both of them. So I'm sure you could find all 4 of them for under $125 no problem. I ordered mine from Vic Hubbard as they had them the cheapest and still in stock. They only sent me one but I called them and the other one is on the way. Do you need different shocks other than Billstien? Not really. I heard lots of people on here lower their trucks and leave the stock shocks on without any problems with the shock. But honestly I noticed a difference in ride quality after changing mine and it rides smoother now. As far as blowing them out after dropping it, it was probably because they were wore out.

ehh i still bilsteins...the factory trucks are lowered 1.5 with springs, if you get 2" springs you will not mess the shocks up due to lowered another .5"
but also the bilsteins are better matched in my opinion to the s10/blazers since gm specd them...

but also dudes original post was may of last year...so i bet he has already bought shocks

I'd like to replace mine as well.. anyone got the factory part number?

I called around and got 1505-63-63 for the front and 1505-63-64 for the rear, but they don't seem right.
