Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
The question about the spacer still hasn't been answered. Where does this spacer go? Driver's side or passenger, front or rear? I'm ordering my drop soon and don't want any lean so someone please answer this for me!

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
you shouldnt have any problems....
did you have a full tank or empty tank? remember a full tank may make your truck lean to the driver side, while an empty makes it level.... |

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
where is the best place to buy the whole kit for the 2in drop spindles in the front and the 3in blocks in the rear but in my case it will be the slanted blocks? Any suggestions on where i should order this for my truck?

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
the cheapest ive seen is summit racing 129.99 plus shipping 9.50 for spindles i think the blocks were like 40 im not sure and i also think that the 9.50 flat rate so if you order both at the same time the shipping stays the same

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
okay...so maybe im an idiot...but there isnt very much specific reference to the angled block/flat block issue...who established that you have to have angled blocks on a ext cab and flat on reg cab???
shouldnt there still be something to correct the messed up pinion angle? i have a regular cab zq8 with angled blocks and another leaf pulled and i have only had one problem with all of this...that third shock makes it a bitch to get the axle back on after i take it off...now im wondering if the resistance fromk the shock could be hiding the fact that the driveshaft is too short to use an angled block...i have no proof but it would make sense...i did pretty much my entire suspension before i learned of the s10 forum...so most of the problems i had i just figured them out myself...id just like to see some reliable information...if the need be i can go rip mine apart and figure it out |

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
heh.... thats basically it, the small amount of pinion change. it really doesnt matter if you put angled on a ext cab though..... so i dont think thats your problem

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
um not sure on that.. but i do know if you leave the front level and just add a 2" block it will sit almost perfectly level..
adding 2" drop coils wlil only lower ur front end .5" |

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
it depends how much block are we talking and how much of a drop coil?
remember that the xtreme already have 1.5" drop coils on them, so adding a 2" coil will only lower it about .5" the easiest way is just to measure all 4 corners from lik the top of the fender, that will tell how much you need to make it level |

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
well really it all depens on the driveways in your area. no you wont ever bottom out just because of the freeway or somethin, but if you hit a steep driveway straight on, ya you will fuk it up, or if you go to far up to a parking block or anything.. but you can still mess it up just as much stock as you can lowered. a 2/3 really isnt that bad.... chances are he may barley smack the ground a few times if he hits a driveway too fast or wrong..

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
and to be honest from the picture in your avatar i think your truck is black.... my airdam is cracked to hell and since its black you cant even tell
because when you hit, it turns it a black color. so yea white trucks get screwed when they bottom out.. but our black ones you cant hardly tell |

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
k so i have a 2/3 using front drop spindles and back 3" blocks
i want to go two more inches lower in the front and about 2 more in the back.. maybe like 1 1/2 inches... i want the front to be slightly lower than the back because right now it looks like the back is just barely lower if any.. i still like the rake look could i pull one middle leaf and put some 2" drop coils up front and have about a 4/3 and a halfish drop to a 4/4 drop?? |

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
no because the xtremes come stock with 1.5" drop coils... so if you want ANOTHER 2" you'll have to get 3.5" drop coils (dunno if they even make that)
so in the rear i guess you could pull a leaf and get about 1.5" yea.... |

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
yea for somereason on the blazers when you lower them the brake lines are really close to rubbing so they flip them to avoid that.... id check out the droppin it' section and search "2/3 blazer" im sure you can get a better answer from that then from me. hah

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
TIRES HITTING INNER FENDER WELL ON BUMPS/DIPS ????????
Just a heads up on the 2/3 drop I just did on my 03 Xdime, Xcab, 4.3. Was driving home from work and drove through a hell'va dip in the road @ 35 MPH. Tires (255/45/18's) slammed up into the inner fender well and threw me forward big time, like instant slam on the binders !!!!!!!! What a frock'n wake up call that was. There is a cure for this if you have this same problem. I made some aluminum custom shim blocks to shim up the lower "A" arm bump stop on a 8 degree angle, works like a charm. Took the same dip @ 50 MPH, no problems............ Last edited by 03_xtrem_xcab : 07-18-2006 at 05:48 PM. |

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
I plan on getting a 2/2 drop b/c my truck is level now excep for the drivers side which has the "chevy lean". Im going to get the spindles and blocks for my ext. cab and was wondering wat is the part # at summit for the 2" angled blocks?? Plus will i still be able to haul my yamaha warrior around w/o bottoming out after i cut off the bumpstops??

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!
Nvm i found the part # i guess all i had to do is read, bel-6102. But i think im going to go with a 2/3 so it doesnt matter. With the drop could i still run a stock exhaust or would i have to get a turndown? Plus will i still be able to haul stuff around??

As for hauling stuff around, you shouldn't have much of a problem. I've hauled furniture, bikes, wheels/tires and had no issues whatsoever. |
