Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

If you got the 2" drop spindles for the front from beltech that are for the zq8 suspension then you will drop 2" in the front... and if you are throwing on 3" blocks in the rear then you will be lowered 3"

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

What he said ^^^ and do you have spindles or coils sitting in your room?

spindles = 2" drop
coils= .5" drop
3" blocks = 3" drop

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

do you mean trim the fenderwells? i dont think that will be your problem really. it will be rubbing on turns at a full lock is what will get ya. you probly wont be able to full lock your wheel anymore. in the rear you shouldnt have to do anything. im bagged and dont even have my fenders cut up in the rear

with that size tire they should tuck pretty well inside right?

i was thinking so......Anyway that i could improve the turning upfront without bagging it?

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

You should check you pinion angle though. You can buy an angle finder at summit but I found it at sears for a 1/4 of the price. Sears and How to set the pinion angle: Baseline I got these off something else I read today. Hope these help.

sorry about the slow reply... but really bagging it doesnt improve turning, at least it doesnt if u run shocks. you'll lose even more. lmao.
only way i can think to improve it is running the right size wheel... having a perfect offset and backspacing will help maximize that.

yea i would. you MIGHT be able to get away without cutting the BRACKET itself off. but i would definitly take the bumpstop off. if u dont feel comfortable taking it all off. leave like an 1/8 of it on there. if u smack the axle a few times and dont like it. remove the bracket and no more worries... if u remove the bracket, besure to spray paint the area of your cuts

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

the 2/3 drop that i have is 2" coils and 3" blocks...if the coils only lower my front .5..the back will be lowered 3"?? i dont mind the front being only lowered .5 because i only want to drop the front a little bit..but the back that low with the front not so low..wouldnt that look kinda stupid?? what should i use for the rear if i lower the front with the coils because i already have 1" blocks in the rear and my truck sits level

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

yea u are correct... using a coil will only lower your xtreme another .5" because u have 1.5" lowering coils on it already.... the rear WILL lower a full 3" if u put blocks on it.

i think if u r only going to lower it .5 in the front then only lower it 2" in the rear. that will give the right look to it u know?

if u want to lower the front a full 2"...... then use spindles instead of coils if u do the 2" spindle drop. then id definitly go 3" block in the rear

make sure u have the right blocks

flat if single cab
angled if extended cab

i believe the pinion angle will be thrown off a bit..

u can look under your truck and notice easily... if theyre flat or angled

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

Here is mine....I put 2" spindles in the front but I completely redid the rear. I have 3" belltech leafs and 2" blocks. Still a total of 5" in the back. So I am 3.5" front and 5" rear drop.

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

Your pinion angle shouldn't have changed. I have not had a single problem with mine since I did the drop. Very odd that you are having vibrations. I bet it has nothing to do with the drop and something else is going wrong in your truck.

trim the flares, meh not needed, i mean you can or you can let the tire take care of it for you =)

if you are worried about the tire rub then go ahead and trim away, but yeah tire will rub on the flares, get a nice smell from parallel parking a few times, heh. or if yer not worried then go ahead and let the rubber do the work for ya

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

when i had the 235/55s on it rubbed at first around full lock on the flares. After making a sharp turn I could get out of the truck and pull rubber off of the inside of the flare. Itll eventually wear it down so that it doesnt rub anymore. I wouldnt worry about trimming it.

Well I am running 18's with my drop and it doesn't rub at all. You shouldn't need to trim them at all.
