Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

that link was a how-to on removing the bumpstops, you can use air tools or a sawzall

and yes you will have to remove them, and yes it will void your warrenty (at least what i've heard)

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

So the spacer will raise one side up to match the other? or lower one side to match the other?

also...bump stops look like a pain in the arse

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

the front is lowered 1.5" with drop springs

the rear is lowered 1.5" with a pulled leaf

some say it's a total of 2" all the way around.. because the x tires are more low profile or somethin.. but it's about 1.5" all the way around

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

so by buying a 2/3 drop kit like the one in this sticky i would have a total of 3.5/4.5 drop in comparison to a stock s10 not zq8 right.

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

Yup, as long as you use the drop spindles and blocks as it says in the first post you'll get the 1.5" + 2" = 3.5" up front and 1.5" +3" = 4.5"

and to answer about it being compared to a stock s10 no zq8 yes you have a 4/5 (as most say instead of 3.5/4.5) and compared to any other zq8 you have a 2/3 drop more

that's actually incorrect. yes, it has one less leaf than base model, but pulling a leaf from a base model does not give you a zq8 pack. it's actually a stiffer spring.

225/40/18 and yes i still rub.... thats because of my 8.5" wide wheels... im pretty sure any 8" wheel and under won't rub...

it's really not that big of a deal though.. no tire or rim damage on mine...

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

it's best to take out the whole Bracket along with the rubber, i'm sure thats what your axle is hittin on.... then take some black spray paint, and spray it on there...

and just so you know, Angled blocks should be used on the extended cab trucks. but arent essential

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

I have a 01 Blazer Xtreme and was wondering what I ALL need to do a 2/3 drop. The 2" drop spindles, the 3" drop blocks. So here are my questions: Are the blocks needing to be flat or angled? Do I need to remove the bumpstop? I read that I probably won't need to flip the brake line but will it be a good idea to do it anyway? Is there anything else that I need to know? And finally, does anyone know the part numbers for summit racing for all the parts that I need? Sorry so many questions but I'm a newbie to this. Thanx

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

do the blazer xtremes have a different dust shield or something? the shield on my x doesn't look like it has the same bolt holes that are on the spindle, am i doing something wrong, or did i just over look something?

thanks,

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

why does it say that the bel-2100 fits malibu, monte carlo ss, grand prix, regal/gn, 1980-87, cutlass/442, 1980-84? doesn't say anything about fitting an 02 blazer x.

i believe the blazers use a different spindle, that spindle is much more expensive. send a PM to THRICE here on the forums, and he can answer all your questions about the blazer, Xtreme2115 and chimera

Re: All of your 2/3 drop info here!

Soon i'll be doing the 2/3 and i had a few questions.

Does this void warrenty? I heard cutting off the bump stops do but if i left them on until the warrenty is up would that cause any problems?

I ahve an extended cab and do i really need angled blocks? Can I have the part number for the 3" lowered blocks?

THe belltech drop spindles that is stated in this thread from summit that costs 150 will fit on my 03 X, right?

thanks for any help
