2/3+zq8=bounce bounce bounce?!?!

i haven't been 2/3 for very long. the stock bilsteins only have 45k miles on them. bump stop brackets in the rear are whacked off. any suggestions on how to stiffen up the rear so i don't whack the axle on the frame anymore? i don't drive like a maniac but some the whoops in the road must have the perfect rhythm to bounce the axle into the frame.

Re: 2/3+zq8=bounce bounce bounce?!?!

shocks could be the culprit even though they have low miles. Im at 5.5 in the rear w/ bumpstops and bumpstop brackets remove and very rarely hit the frame, and thats only because im on 20's in the rear now.

wtf?
how is it ghetto? if you are bagged you can lift up to where you dont bottom but for static you are stuck.... i think low static SHOULD have a notch as to where a bagged truck doesnt need one

Re: 2/3+zq8=bounce bounce bounce?!?!

It should not hit the frame anyway with the bracket out. How is the rear dropped?

Re: 2/3+zq8=bounce bounce bounce?!?!

I took off my worn out Bisteins and installed some new KYB red monomax shocks. Has a nice stiff ride now. Much better. The pistons are much larger in diameter compared to the Bisteins. I have a 2001 V6 Xtreme Xcab.

Re: 2/3+zq8=bounce bounce bounce?!?!

mine started hitting hard after i dropped it and then i noticed that one of the rear bilsteins had like blown out, so i went with the beltech drop shocks, and it was much better...however if haulin ass and hit a ditch or carrying some weight it will bottom out every now and then!

Re: 2/3+zq8=bounce bounce bounce?!?!

You can get bilsteins (or even cheap gabriel shocks) at AutoZone. They all have a lifetime warranty, so you can swap them out as often as you need.
