i saw a typhoon tonight

i was at auto zone tonight where all tha street racers go to meet up before they go to tha spot and i was drivin around goin to look at this mustang on a trailer and i caught somethin out tha corner of my eye.......at first i thought it was a jimmy with a body kit on it but i get up closer and its got typhoon decals on tha doors so i stop and it turns out this guys got a typhoon a syclone and 3 motors that came out of syty's he just sold one motor for $8000 one of his friends owns tha fastest all wheel drive syclone in tha world and this guys puttin one of his motors in a 98 4dr blazer.....one of his other friends owns a syclone that he runs at tha track some fridays when its midnight madness so these guys are into it alright I WANT ONE OF THOSE MOTHA****ERS SO BAD.....oh yeah i mentioned this website to him also so maybe there will be a new member pretty soon or 2 or maybe 3

the fastest AWD Syclone in the world is over in Europe. Matt Hoover has a Syclone that runs a tenth of a second slower and I believe may run down in that area, but thats all I can think of.

its was one of those stangs that as an off year that you only see like 1 or 2 of them every blue moon i think they made like 2500 of this year and body style my dad owned one when he was in high school

But you wont find a sy/ty crate engine anywhere.

hell the stock intake & exhaust manifolds go for an arm and a leg on the rare occation you find one on ebay.

GM doesnt sell shit for these trucks anymore, you'll be lucky if your dealership knows what one is, and like stated above, there really isnt anything special about the engine, youre better off getting an LB4 block out of the junkyard and building one yourself, but then youre gonna need the manifolds, turbo, fuel system, computer and if you actually plan on making some power, set aside $2500 for a trans and converter. So as long as youre willing to invest $10,000 - $12,000 into your Blazer, go for it!

If your really wanting to buy a motor visit www.tobefast.com I think the cheapest one is around 8500 w/ core. I've always wanted to own a typhoon, My brother has a syclone and every now and then i have the privilege to drive it, they're amazing vehicles

I've seen in person 2 Typhoon's up here in Canada, they've been well maintained, all original stickers and numbers matching. I also saw a syclone for sale in the paper a while ago,mint condidtion with just a custom paint job, the person was asking $23,000(canadian) approx. $20,400 US.

The only Ty I have ever seen, the guy bought it off of Joe Dumars of the Detroit Pistons. He kept the old registration. He was selling it for $35,000. NO not $3500. The body was decent with a few dings, and he said the engine was "kitted out"..

wow i didn't really realize how rare these typhoons are. i know two people with them. one guy has his hand in just about everything from TV stations and dealerships to racing teams. the other kid was a jerk from my high school.
they are cool trucks. speaking of which do any of you know if there is a supercharger kit for the 4.3s like on the typhoon?

typhoon is based off of the blazer body, syclone is based off of the s-10/sonoma body

cyclones were made by Mercury in the late 1960's

syclones were made by GMC in the early 1990's

thats the difference.

and no, nobody really offers a true 100% complete bolt on/program computer kit.
