reinforcing upper a-arms

Can someone point me in the right direction for info on reinforcing my stock upper control arms? I broke my passenger side upper hopping this past weekend. I tried searching but no luck. Thanks.

Re: reinforcing upper a-arms

Are they extended? To reinforce them you will need to plate them them with 3/16" or 1/4" steel. And I would do uppers and lowers.

No, they haven't been extended. Should I plate the tops or bottoms of the control arms?

It split from where I notched to the hole where the bumstop is. Then the bumpstop busted through busting it wide open. I'll snap a pic tomorrow.

Ok let me reword that. It split from the notch for the cylinder down to the hole where the bumpstop mounts. Thanks for the pics blaze83
