i have never seen a s series with fluid but i have seen people just use like 4 inch c channel welded on top of the notch and it seems to work good... especially inexpensive

I'll try to find some pics of when my truck had juice, but it wasn't that good looking.

If I find anything, I'll post a link to the website.

Here is the last one that I did...http://images2.fotki.com/v20/free/75...jpg?1050359834

You can see the entire thing at: Joey's Hydro Install
The frame notch is square tubing, the crossmember is 1 1/2" tubing that I bent and fishmouthed together...

Everything is primed, then painted and cleared to match the truck...

You are right. it is easy and cheap and it works. I needed to do something fast.
My new rear setup that I am working on will be more stealth. I am jelous of rear bag setups that are completly hidden under the bed so I am working on something that will be hidden.

Re: rear bridge with droz!

I would steer away from c channel, it works but you will be unhappy with it unless u cover it up. I would go with 2x3 square and weld it INBETWEEN the 2 notches.

Re: rear bridge with droz!

well, i guess i can post mine here too, even tho im sure i will catch shit from somebody on here cus its not as kewl as theirs, oh well. Anyways, for the axle mounts i got some 1/4" C chanel and welded that to the axle, then welded my powerball to that for a real nice flat mounting surface, it worked really well. When i ordered the kit i also ordered some mini-coil cups for my minis that im runnin in the rear, well when i got them they were fukn rediculious, they didnt fit worth shit and had tons of play on them inside the spring, soooooooo, i got some 3" round stock billet aluminum and machined my own cups for the coils, no play, perfect fit and look much better than the ones that came with the kit.

I also attatched a pic of my bed also, with my battery mounts and seliniod mounts and my pump mounts.

enjoy........and if you dont like what i have done to my truck as far as the setup of my fabricational skills, please keep it to yourself, i work with what i have.

Re: rear bridge with droz!

no its not a suicide doors product, its made by steve at Can-Do, i really wasnt fond of the whole "bolt-on" thing but, after i talked to steve about it a few times i just decided to give it a try, it seems to work just fine. But to answer your question its made by Can-Do Specialties.

thank for the comps guys, i will throw some more pics up when i get more accomplished.

Re: rear bridge with droz!

eyepoppin,

I can get some pics of them bottom bars when i get home, do you want to know how they connect to the axle or to the frame??

As far as the bed goes, i made a skeleton out of 3/4"x3/4" bar along the bottom of the bed and also along the sides, leaving the stock bed inplace, or what i had left fo the stock bed. The side peices i cut to legnth then welded the top of them to the bed rails and smoothed them in so they looked good. Now, i know most people cut their old stock bed completely out of the bed and make a whole new one out of sheet metal, but the way i did it seems to be fine, its supported greatly all around, mind you the bed is now really fukn heavy, but im not too concerned about that really. When i first strated the project i was just going to lay sheet metal down and spot weld it from underneeth to keep it in place, but i decided to lay some sturdy bracing down for it would be better and give it a good flat platform to lay on. then i just spotwelded it into place and smoothed it out. It seems to work good tho, i havent had any problems yet.

i will let you know of them pics, i will post them here when i get them

and i will also pm you with how much that 4 link cost.
