Question questions on juice

Ok I purchased a 1986 chevy s-10 reg. cab short wheelbase about a year ago. The funds are starting to come available so I'am going to start on it soon my question is if I get 8 inch cylinders in the front what else do I need to do. I know I need to get some full size chevy coilsprings but what about my control arms?Should I keep my stock arms and notch the top and bottom of the frame the reason I ask is because I want to bodydrop it to the rockers and lay 22's. I know I might get flamed for the bodydrop and 22's but this will not be a DD cause I plan on shaving the firewall so no heat and no air, plus I live about 30-45 from work one way. Sorry for the long thread but this has been bothering me.

Thanks for the help, Mike
