Re: not air ride but hydros

You can make a one pump setup do it all..... the disadvantages As I see it would be, less tank and fluid capacity which could result in not as much lift if some how there was excesive air in lines and lots of line to use lots of fluid during a lift. The way you could make a one pump do front back and side to side would be lift it then have individual dumps wired up to make the car move in a desired action. For instance lift, drop front right and rear right dumps, this would give you a side to side... You could even three wheel when turning a corner you dump the opposite rear wheel and turn sharp this causes the car to rock over on to that wheel and with all others lifted (maximum extension) the car will pull the wheel up ( must be done at a moderate speed). The advantage or running two pumps would be a quicker system that has to work less to do the same job. But you also have more switch options... You can lift just the front or the rear if wanted while leaving the other wheels on the ground but you would not be able to lift side to side from the ground it would require lifting and dropping the desired side because esentially the two cylinders would use the same feed and both lift at once even if you tried to dump back while lifting the fluid will follow the path of least ressisatance and flow back to the tank.... So if you want to be able to life each cornor individually you need four pumps one dedicated to each cylinder ( not really necessary but adds to the cool factor)

Re: not air ride but hydros

nicely put, couldnt have said it better!
hydro run down
1 pump 2 dumps set-up to all 4 corners= front, back, pancake, but the ass end will lift first because it is lighter
1 pump 2 dump set-up to front= front, individual corners
1 pump 2 dump set-up to rear=rear, individual corners
1 pump 1 dump= front or rear only
1 pump 1 dump to front, 1 pump 1 dump to rear set-up= front and back only
2 pumps 4 dump set-up with 10 switches= front, back, left side, right side, see saw, 3 wheel left, 3 wheel right, dog leg left, dog leg right, pancake
3 pump & 4 pumps= standing 3 wheel & hopping.

I think that pretty much sums up set-up capabilities?

Re: not air ride but hydros

I forgot to add that 4 check valves would be needed to run the whole system on one pump....
