new to hydros

i am new to hydros. i have a 97 isuzu hombre 4.3 vortech automatic. i have 2 cce pumps and 4 dumps runnin on 48 volts. i have read that your not suppose to run hydros in the winter. i live in florida so i should be ok right? i think the coldest it gets is maybe in the 40s and i am running hydraulic 68 fluid. i will be going to TN though sometime around christmas. will i be ok to drive this up there and play with it some? also i read about street chargers. is there a cheaper place to get them than for 340 bucks? i mean thats high. i would rather just keep charging my shit every other night since i can charge all 4 bats in about 5 hours at 12 amps. also what do i need to do to lay on 22s or maybe just maybe 24s? i want to body drop sometime also. stock floor or regular?

Re: new to hydros

u will have to definently notch it tub the front and rear and if its just single leaf u will definenlty need to link the rearend stockfloor or traditional, well it depends on how good of a fabricator u are as for hittin switches out of town i wouldnt unless u r bringing a battery charger and some tools thats the last thing u want to happen is to blow a seel out of town because of the cold.

yeah i don't want to blow i seal. that would suck ass. damn fuel pump went out yesterday. as far as a fabricator, i can make it if i know what i need. which is easier to do though? regular or stock floor?

Re: new to hydros

i just finished my first stockfloor and from my experience a stockfloor is a lot more work and precision than a traditional but the last time i did a traditional was when i was 15 on a fullsize

Re: new to hydros

i will prolly go with the traditional then....since you get the same effect with less work. i am having a problem with the front passengers side leaking down. it leaks down fairly fast to...like within about 10 minutes. no fluid coming out though....so whats the problem? do i need new seals up front or is there just air in there? haven't had the line off so don't see how there could be air in there.....

do this,

lift the front then close the slowdown valve on the front pump. If it still goes down then it's a bad check valve.

If it stays up, it's a bad dump.

your dump block might be not closing all the way rigth now my front also leaks down but its very slow u wouldnt reaal notice it unless it sat there for like a couple weeks u also could have air in the lines

Re: new to hydros

If it was a blown seal up front on your cylinder, you would have oil everywhere
