I'd say it's the shipping and import fees from the U.S. that make the stuff hard to get over there. I ship parts to friends in Australia all the time and the import fees are not really to bad but i don't know about the U.K. Truck seems like it's in good hands now and there can't be to many juiced s-10's over there so you should stand out at shows and such.

shipping overseas is a B1tch , trust me..

i just ordered stuff from SD, , with a weight of 173lbs is gonna cost me 750dollars for shipping alone, not to mention what to pay on import taxes..., that will also prolly be a 3 figure amount...

but good work on the bracket!! got some more pictures??

Re: My home made link, Diff Plate

i just have a few questions for u
1. did u build a spacer ring to go between it and the diff plate, because u need one to space it up the amount of lip that the diff cover has
2. not really a question, but u need to ditch the all thread and nuts and get u some grade 8 bolts, i see that coming off and i bet it would be a bitch to get it all out to start over
3. it looks like u are getin hella lift we need pics and the quality on the diff plate looks good

Re: My home made link, Diff Plate

@sixteynine.... Yeah i made a spacer them same size of the diff to clear the lip although you cant see it in the photos.

Yeah i think your right about the Grade 8 bolts, must get that done asap.

Cheers Guys for the comments

I have done shit loads of work since that photo, and the truck looks a lot better, i removed that fuel vapour tank relocated above the fuel tank, the truck bed was crushing it anyway lol not to sure where it was supposed to be!

Re: My home made link, Diff Plate

There starting to catch on to the whole gift/sample idea now, it seems a bit hit and miss what gets through customs over here at the minute. Sometimes there is no charge others they won't release it untill the import is paid, not to mention they also charge you for the privelage of them opening your parcel and repacking it.

Re: My home made link, Diff Plate

i always ship overseas using the postal service and have never had anyone have to pay a import fee. I just say it's car parts I'm shipping. there was import fee on a large package that i had to use fed-ex to ship so maybe the usps don't charge the import fees??
