Re: My Backhalf, and juice install......

I've always wanted to build something up with juice rather than air. Air is easier to learn on so I'll just keep with that, for now

You do great work.

Everything is far from finished. I just finished complete mockup of everything, and now im gonna beable to tear it all down, and clean all the welds, send it all out for chrome, and Powdercoat, and then get ready to paint the frame......and assemble it all again. But i will update with a few pics here, just of some randome stuff that ive gotten done since ive posted last.

I got the rear bed mounts welded to the frame, they are the tubular brackets welded to the far back end.

I got my hardlines mostly plumbed in teh back, to distribute to the stainless braided lines. I also got all my Stainless Steel braided hydro lines, the whole system is all stainless steel, either hardlines, or braided soft lines. No black hydro hose!

I made some brackets to hold some of the hoses in place for when they need to be routed to the tubes in certain places, and, i also machined some qick release handles for my slowdowns.

I started shaving the back of the cab also, to make it look better, since i will be showing it under construction for a while like that.

The only pics i have of the back half install are whati posted allready on here.......but ill see what i can scrounge up and post up.

Wow everytime I look at this thread I am even more impressed with your work. Shaving the back of the cab was a great idea. That looks much cleaner. The pumps look great I really like those CCE endcaps.

Re: My Backhalf, and juice install......

I've never been much on Hydraulics, probably because I never understood them. I'd have to research more on them to get a better feel for it.

But, I saw this thread, saw the pics and just had to give up the coo-dos to you for your work. You have to give it up where its due. I can't believe the speed and quality of your work. Its awesome. You get some of these other guys doing build projects for ever and ever, but damn, you're truck'n right along through this.

Just had to say that your hard work is appreciated. So far, looks like a work of art. Good job and good luck with the rest of your build. I'm sure the end result will be a great thing to look at.

that does look great... but that must mean you have something up your sleave, cause you wouldn't be going to all that work just to hide it with the bed in the way... so how is the bed going to move??

Well when someone thinks hydros are bad I tell them The 2006 Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 has hydros
---
Quote:
The ultimate suspension compromise

According to Schreiber, "The Veyron covers a wider speed spectrum than any other sports car. It must ride reasonably well at 25 mph, and at the same time, it must be perfectly stable and confidence-inspiring at 250 mph. To meet these conflicting requirements, there are three different suspension settings: standard, handling, and top speed. Instead of installing adjustable springs, dampers, and antiroll bars, we opted for a quick-acting central hydraulic system that permits, among other things, instantaneous ride-height adjustments."

In standard mode, the ground clearance is 4.9 inches all around--enough to climb curbs and straddle traffic-calming speed bumps. The Bugatti runs on OZ wheels shod with run-flat PAX tires supplied by Michelin. The sizes read like credit card numbers: 265-680/R-500A up front, 365-710/R-540A out back. The chassis incorporates an ambitious mix of high-tech elements (see Techtonics sidebar).

The Bugatti boys certainly got their calculations right. Even at very high speeds, the roadholding is simply phenomenal, and the car is incredibly stable. It tracks with precision through fast or slow corners, and things like traction or lift-off oversteer are never an issue

Its the length of the cylinders that determines amount of lift.
