thicker mount plate for what it has gussets on 3 sides it is not going anywere. the powerball or the cylinder will break way before the plate. nice install welcome to the juice world.

Re: finished my install

Very clean, I like it a lot. Any problems with the ball joints with the 10" cylinders up front? Gets great lift, you should be proud

If the hole in the top plate is too small , it can bend it or bend the shaft or break the powerball . So the top plate probley has a larger hole for that , now you have less metal , and with hard angles it can bend it.

Not trying to hijack this topic , here is another way to settup a pump with accums.

Re: finished my install

i agree with your theroy, but in this case he wont have any issues.

Even with the truck layed out there isnt a bind on the plate, and at full lift the plate wont have a bind.

It looks like good placment to me. Plus, it looks like he might of used .375 thick steel for that....which is probably even overkill for his situation.

Re: finished my install

my main concern was that everything line up when dropped. I see how that hard angle can make things look bad. It's not a problem at ride height, everything is the way it should be.

the O.D. of the cylinder is 1.5", the mounting hole is 1.625"

The large gussets are .1875", everything else is .25"

Is that a Cyclone pump? looks good

p.s. welcome back Taylor. lol

Re: finished my install

any lowrider company such as prohopper or showtime has them on there sites or just type powerball or pivotball in on ebay and you'll get all kinds. or since your in louisville you can stop in at coolcars on dixie and buy a set off the shelf. I live in corydon, indiana, about 25 miles from louisville so we are really close by.

Re: finished my install

You have to have the rear cylinders at an angle like that. So that when the rear is locked up, the cylinders straighten out. So that if one is riding with the rear locked up, the cylinders wouldn't bend.

in the rear you have your cylinders mounted on the outside of the frame, and your swivel cups directly in the center of the link bars which are under the frame right? my question is do your cylinders angle in toward the middle of your blazer?

I just replied to your PM,

but now I think I see what you're saying...

Blazer/Jimmy leafspring mounts are mounted outside of the frame from the factory, and that's what I used for my 4-link.
