Re: coil over front susp.

The reason why I want to change it is because it bounces too much when driving.

Re: coil over front susp.

So put shocks on it. Get a kit from Suicide doors, relocate a shock to the outside of the control arm, just like a bagged guy would, and you're golden. Coilover isn't going to help you unless you've got issues with your cylinder hitting your booster.

Re: coil over front susp.

put some 1 tons in the front, or some springs from a fullsize, then add some accumulators if you want. don't use shocks. you'll blow them before you know it.

Re: coil over front susp.

accumulators will help, a coil over will not.

you can add shocks but they will have to be good quality and extended travel, since i am sure you are getting atleast 8" front lift.

i had some shocks on my juiced truck and had some cheap shocks and only lasted a month.

i would also look into ways to running the tallest spring you can.

i can lay frame on a full stack of coils. i have the 3" lowered lower control and raised upper spring pocket.

more spring = better ride.

Re: coil over front susp.

How is putting shocks in the front of a juiced ride any different than on a bagged ride? End result, you're getting lock to lock on the suspension, and with the new valves people are running, it moves just as fast, there's no reason why a good set of shocks wouldn't work if properly installed.

in that case, there's no way for any shock, cheap or expensive, to last on a fast air setup, either. i stand behind my statement.

Re: coil over front susp.

Coilover will not help the bounce... All it will do is make more work when you have to change out your o-rings... Try a set of softer springs or accums...

Re: coil over front susp.

In my experience I like the the extreme coils for the front of s10's they seem to ride really nice.

Re: coil over front susp.

Coil over will not help in this sit, as stated above. Shocks will help, but will probably end up getting all blew out.

Re: coil over front susp.

i run a half stack of 1ton coils up front with 6" cylinders up front, coil over style, and mine rides wonderfull. Im soo suprised how much better my ride is now that its juiced as compaired to when it was bagged, its a night and day difference.

I have auctually installed and ridden in a dime wiht a coilover front setup with 1ton minis in it, and the ride didnt change much, it seememd to be better than before, but it was hardly noticeable.

Peace.
