I Know what you mean by you think it needs more triagulation. BUT as long as there is enough of an angle it will keep the axle centered. It doesnt really matter yeah Ideal would be go all the way out to the very outside of the frame rails but with heim joints you only can bend them so much before the heim joint casing hits the bolt. There for you can but should not max out the heims! I Dont understand what IC is!

If you mean my upper links are behind the axle center line.... Then yes they are but its a Suicide doors diff bracket. That may not be one hundred percent right but it works well. Please elaborate on IC i really dont know what that is or what it means

Re: back half and Juice install

see i'm not 100% sure on this.. but the how it pivots on the mounts you have... it puts the center of the pivot behind the wheels.. i can't explain it real well but i know what he means.. i just wana know how he can tell by looking at it

google instant center on rear suspension or soething like that.. i've researched long time ago

Re: back half and Juice install

its hard to explain without pictures to show people.... but ill give it a whirl.

your instant center is the point at which your upper and lower link bars would intersect if they magicly extended past their mounting points forward. Generally speeking, a good instant center location is someware around the front bumper of your truck. Pictureing what it would take for the upper and lower link bars to extend and intercect eachother up that far, note the angle of the bars, its more of a < type shape, or are shaped to be inside the shape of being parrallell. What it appears your bars do, is a > type shape, which would mean that your pars are outside the points of being parrallell, which means the bars "point" backwards, giving your an instant center behind the axle.

Hope that helps

Taylor

Re: back half and Juice install

O So actually it has to do with one upper and one lower on the same side?

Re: back half and Juice install

yes as if you were looking at the bars from the side of the truck. Right now while the lower bar is level with the ground the upper bar is pointing up towards the top of the truck somewhat. while it should be the other way around.. the upper links should be facing down like zero said. so that the link would allmost be pointing strait towards the bumper.

Re: back half and Juice install

so just as a very ruff guess... it looks like your upper bars where they mount to the cross member should be moved out towards the frame rails about 3" then then the tabs or the X member itself be dropped down about 2". Unfortunaly to do this, your one either gonna have to slide the X member back the frame a little because of the length of the links.. or lengthen the upper link bars to reach the new mounting points.

Looks good man. quick question, what kind of check valves did they give you in the kit? If they gave you the male to male check valves do yourself a favor and get some heavy duty female check valves. Alot of those kits have the smaller c/v's and they wont hold up to the weight.

Re: back half and Juice install

yeah well this is what i came up with. I went to the scrap yard and bought a frame and now i have a beater lol check it out. these pictures were taken today because i got plates and the maiden voyage had a couple hundred pounds of scrap in it. lol

first four pictures i removed the cab and swaped all the parts to the other frame in ONE DAY. But it took me a couple days after to finish all the little things.

Now these are the pictures taken today

first drive with all this Sht In there

Re: back half and Juice install

wow man, you scraped the back half? that sucks. sorry i havnt visited this thread in awhile.

and to answer the batt question, 3 pumps, 2 batts each pump at 24v will give you decent playtime and fairly quick movement.

but if you go to 3 batts per pump at 36v, you should get her to hop pretty decent.

all depends on what you want to do...
