Anybody runnin' a "caged spring" accumulator?

Does anybody have any experience with these? I'm talking 'bout a seperate cylinder "T"'d off from lift cylinder with a spring inside an enclosure. I'm looking to run this setup 'cuz it seems to be the best for handling.

Re: Anybody runnin' a "caged spring" accumulator?

I have used this setup many times I actually preffer it. I am not a big fan of accumulators I think they are a waste of money they ride like ass I have never been in a ride that rides as nice as a spring box that is the name I have heard most. What is a totally sweet way to do this is use the cylinders on a bag setup. You can make this look sweet as hell I am going to do this setup in the mazda I am building. single pump manifold setup with 4 dumps.

I've been toying with the idea of a single pump, 4 dump setup. Wouldn't you have to run a larger reserve tank?

With a spring box set up yes you will I am going to be making my own tank so it is no big deal. Due to the fac that you are going to have 8 cylinders I would suggest extra space. Normally you can get away with out it but with 8 I am not sure if you can haven't tried it yet. I am basicly gonna make my tank the same size as a whammy tank. I will post pics when I start working on it.

This is one I did I built it into the notch and the bridge I did it so he could use 14" cylinders and still have them below his bed sides. erotikkustomz.tripod.com/Dcp_0115.jpg
stood a nice three he drug through both bed corners.

first that is the s10 i always used to see out at rogers. ok i dont want to sound stupid here just need some more explanation all i see is a cylinder with the mini coil around it how does that help make it ride any better. what does it do how its mounted on the bridge like that. id probably have to see it in person to understand more i guess.

If you do it right is acts exactly like an accumulator is mostly allows you to run cylinders with no springs on your axle or in the front. it is mostly a way to have more give in your suspension. Add shocks and you have a nice ride. It is kind of hard to explain.
