100% new to hydroz... how can they be mounted?

I'm trying to design a decent rear suspension and decided I wanted to go with hydraulics, but I'm stuck. What are the different ways that the cylinders can be mounted? It looks totally different than air springs that have bolt holes... I don't see any bolt holes on all of the clyinders I've looked at. Can the bodies be welded to, or would that destroy them?

I saw this picture in a thread in the baggin it forum when I was searching around (I know this is some sort of combo, but thats irrelevant, i'm only concerned with they hydro portion and how they mount):

From other pictures I've seen of cylinders, it appears that the person that installed those welded to the 'caps' of the cylinders, then threaded them back onto the cylinder body. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm trying to understand this so I can get this project in motion.

If anyone has any other good pictures of different mounting setups, please post 'em up or link me to them. Thanks!

generally you would put a coil between the sleeve and the cylinder for a better ride. allthough some put the coils at the bottom between the cylinder and axle.

but yea they just kinda sit in t here. They slide into the sleeve, which could be anything, a piece of tubing, a plate with a hole cut in it, or anything like that.. The sleeve is stationary, and would be welded to the frame in some way or another, so that it doesnt move. And the cylidner would slide in from the bottom.

why would you c notch the crap out of your frame? all you need is enough that the axle doesnt hit the bottom of it. a notch is a notch. i dont understand why people think you need a bigger notch with hydraulics. mine was small as crap and i had no issues what so ever with it. it layed out and it got lift. thats all you need
