How do you weld sheet metal and what type rods do you use?
I have got a work to do but i don't know how to fix sheet metal out side of pop rivets and screws.
Anyone help me.

Re: Welding Sheet Metal

I use a MIG welder, prefer with gas. For shaving I do a lot of tack welds very slow, so I dont warp the panel until the tacks come in contact. Grind down the tacks and use minimal filler to smooth...the same goes for doing repairs. I've never used a TIG and I definately wouldn't attempt with ARC.

Re: Welding Sheet Metal

use a thin 6013 on low amperage if you are using a stick welder. do small spots at a time, and let the panels cool so you dont get any distortion.
