i made the move and got a welder 1st time ever weldeing what you thank of this weld

ok well today i went out and got a 115 campbell hausfeld flux core welder i know its not the best in the word but with it being my 1st time and this welder was only 195 at lows i figerd i can get something better latter

well after 2 i thank i got the ideal of how to work it i know its the the best but i thank its good seens todays my 1st time ever welding

ye well i was welding gay galvanized meal ill have to mess with it more i thank tomorro im going to lows to get some better metal to play with lol

that galvanized crap will give you a masive headache if you weld too much of it(see that white crap)

you dont want to be breathing it too much

keep practicing, i would'nt buy anything over 1/8" for that machine to practice on

drink some milk after welding that shit, the fumes are poisonous! with that lil amount you posted you should be fine tho

as for the weld it looks cold, crank up the heat and take your time dont rush it, i never welded with flux core so i cant help much, good luck

Its about time you got a welder :-). Be careful welding galvanized, try not to breath in the fumes, it will make you barf. The weld sucks, but its your first time so keep trying. Go to www.hobartwelders.com/mboard to learn more about welding. Also how many amps is that machine?

i got a tip for ya, try to find a handbook/guide book with different types of welds in it, you can probably find one at home depot or at a community college bookstore by your house. practice welding edge to edge in a 90degree angle, then flat. you'll get more experience, but keep it up, you'll get the hang of it.

yeah..if you're wantin to eventually weld stuff like body parts and stuff...go out to the junk yard and see if you can get a fender or a tailgate...or just some random pieces of shit...

ya that weld isnt too good man, you need to read up on welding techniques and machine adjustments and get some mild steel, nothing galvanized.
