want to see some link set ups.

I want pics of people who back halved or did a full frame build. 4 link, 5 link, 6 links. not looking for canti set ups. I was going to build a 5 link set up based of a SD design but the upper wish bone isnt going to work and the 15 inch bars are not going to give it enough lift. I am keeping my lift bars on the back and fuel cell between them. IM just looking for some ideas of how to set up the front on this truck. its a full frame build 2x3 3/16. so help a trucker out lets see some set ups.

Re: want to see some link set ups.

nice I like the tubing work. I couldnt use my 3link parts because I would have to raise my bed floor to high. and then at ride height the upper wish bone wouldn't be parallel and wouldn't be parallel with the ground either. im thinking of using 18.5 lowers and angling my uppers from as close to the pumpkin going out towards the frame rails. wish i had a pic handy. well keep em coming guys

nope its a 4 link. the bags are on the upper bars, the lower bars are kinda hiding but you can see them in the pics..

Re: want to see some link set ups.

So I want to build from the firewall back, I know there is a lot of geometry involved. I just want a simple set up (not a lot of tube work). but how do you begin to design one? Do you base your dimensions off of the stock frame and just figure the notch height based off of your axel height? I just want to learn as much as possible before I tackel that aspect of the project. I would probly run an sd 4 link, bag on lower bars.

I built my frame for a sfbd so I ran my 2x3 in side the frame rails and then up to a round SD notch and 2x3 the back, then added lift bars I had planed on using my sd 3 link but Its not going to work now. basically just cut every thing off and start fresh is the best way to do it. i measured everything and wrote it down first. wheel base height of every thing but since im putting it to the rockers it changes everything, plus moving the cab back. sectioning my bed to close the wheel gap ect.

lazy not so much but looking for good ideas off others designs can never hurt. and reading 300 threads just to find a few pics of some back halves is ridiculous. maybe I sould of started it as" LETS SEE SOME FRAME WORK" MOD please change for me. ty.

here is what i started with, but since ill get so much lift and i had to raise the wishbone up so high Ill need longer bars and a triangulated set up.
