Re: STFB Crewcab Longbed RHD. 22.5 semi wheels

the truck does take very wide turns but it is damn near 20 feet long so that happens. the rim shop that mounted my tires i worked at "CHROME CITY" in cedar rapids and they were easy to mount, i was very surprized. the reason i didnt have the wheels milled down is because my buddy has semi wheels on his full size dually and his didnt get milled down and they are fine plus his truck weighs alot more than mine. the picture of the 3 link with out any paint on it is just the mach up stage where everything is tacked. everything is fully welded now.

just because 'it worked fine on my buddy's truck' doesn't mean that its the right way to do things. No matter which way you look at it its still not a smart thing and is DANGEROUS

Re: STFB Crewcab Longbed RHD. 22.5 semi wheels

i understand what your saying. the back wheels and tires are the only ones im worried about, the bad thing is that i spent $300 dollars a piece on the rear tires. if i could sell them and get wider i would in a heart beat.

Well i just ordered my cowl hood and my taillights. Heading back home this weekend to work on my bed floor. i will get tons of new pics and have them on here sunday night hopefully.

Re: STFB Crewcab Longbed RHD. 22.5 semi wheels

how did you figure out making the control arms? Do you get more lift? How did you know how long to make them for like caster and camber and shit

Re: STFB Crewcab Longbed RHD. 22.5 semi wheels

i think those were mock up bushings because it doesn't look like that now and those arms are one off pieces he used my art arms to look at but i don't think they helped him much since these are made for the semi wheels

Re: STFB Crewcab Longbed RHD. 22.5 semi wheels

i used my buddies (AJGs10) art control arms to get the basic bends and then built the arms around the wheels. i did get the front fenders completely done and in primer and also both rear doors and part of the bed side in primer. i started on the raised floor in the bed and got all the framing done along with the wheel tubes. i will get the new pics on my photobucket account and if someone wants to post some new ones, go for it.
