i was able to find pics of the truck from the RA show thread, people posted links to show pics. You canf idn pics of the truck on these links.
http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f81/ra...77/index3.html

looks good, sorry to hear about the problems bro, i think weve ALL had problems, though mine have been on the way to the show, i wasnt lucky enough to get them after the show. Sucks about the tow bill i know EXACTLY how that feels lol, in addition to having to buy a new transmission at the same time. Thank god you didnt have that bad of luck.

Also congrats on the trophies! Well deserved imo.

Do it! It's weird to see one of those trucks parked with the rear wheels all turned. Seen one, one day at the bank and was like WTF!?

Thats nuts man, hey i have a question about your driveshaft... Im building a 02 ex cab and im making it a long bed. How should i make the driveshaft? Should i make the rear shaft longer or the front one longer and move the carrier bearing back? This is the only thing im stuck on any help would be sweet.

congrats on the trophies and photo shoots had no doubts about it, sucks about the break down on the way home, even the unfortunate event of breaking down I'm glad to see someone driving a bad ass BD truck that far and not a trailer...

Why build something and not drive it to a show...

because if something breaks, and you are hundreds of miles away from home you are screwed and you will be stuck with a huge tow bill. People tow for piece of mind and to not have to worry about that "what if?" factor. Isnt this a perfect example of that? Id rather tow my truck to a show then have to get stuck with a $1200 tow pig cuz of something silly like a fuel pump going out...

You make a great point actually, I really can't argue there but once my truck is "done" in my eyes I will still drive it, but I have no motor mods done to it and we always roll with a big group of people and a 3 car trailer with room for 1 more truck just in case we need to put one of our trucks up on it.

But what if the fuel pump on the tow rig goes out? Then your stuck dealing with a tow pig, 16 ft trailer, and a show truck. Or what if you blow a tire or 2 on the trailer and have to unhook it so u can go get replacements. im only saying because if seen that scenario multiple times.

But trailering is not a bad idea, i joke with people that do trailer to some shows but only as fun. I do laugh at the people that never drive there truck more than 100yards at any one given time and treat a $10,000 truck as a seven figure award winning one of a kind.

a stock tow pig versus a custom hand build show truck are different. the reliability of a stock vehicle is going to be better much then one that was basically built from the ground up such as this guy.

im done, i dont want to make this guys thread go to waste, so that is my last comment on this subject.

if your tow pic breaks down, then unload the trailered truck and go get whatever parts you need, duh

Re: STFB Crewcab Longbed RHD. 22.5 semi wheels

I'm not buying it. You can have the same problems with a stock vehicle as with a custom one. In fact, I would trust a good built custom truck more. The craftsmanship will be much better that a stock assembly line could ever build.I drive my truck to every show. That includes Mississippi, Georgia, the Carolina's, etc. If you know what your doing, and you trust your work, you'll be as good (if not better) that a stock vehicle.

Now with that being said. I would accept not driving a built truck for the fear of paint chips, accident, etc as an excuss more so than a reliability issue. This is all just my opinion. So will agree, some will not. So be it. I give you (tuckn22) props for driving your truck, and taking the chance. Knowing the work you put into it, and trusting your own work. Congrats on the awards.

something will always break, on anything you own. Motors gernade when they want. Its all on how you feel. Weird things just happen and you take a chance on anything being "cutom" or stock.Im replacing a headgasket on a 15000 mile motor right now b/c chevy didnt torque all the head bolts and prior to finding this it made my truck do stupid crazy things.

but anyways. I love the truck, didnt know about the right hand drive before but the dash makes it "finished" love it
