Re: So I finally started...

well, the frame is all black, got it finished up today. Yes I know, I still have to get the tabs mounted for the shocks, but thats ok, scrape some paint off, and redo it, no biggie... and yes, I painted this in my garage. But, it looks good, and thats all that matters!

Its not about where its done you can lay down real paint jobs on a car body and be better then one layed down in a booth.. a booth just makes life easier...
anyway good job.. looks sick so far.. and honestly I like your idea of doing one color i think two toned blazers look sick but are somewhat played out.. a nice single color or even a little bit of other color with that grey just not the average two tone would look sick..

Re: So I finally started...

yeah Ill figure something out for sure! thanks for the compliments on everything. I plan on having all the stuff re installed tomorrow, (minus shocks that is), so that we can all marvel at the black and silver goodies lol. Also plan on ordering some new brake lines, and fuel lines tomorrow, have to lay out a plan. What are people using for hard air lines? Are you just using fuel lines or do they have like a teflon filled stainless steel air line?

Re: So I finally started...

Nothing wrong with a two-tone. I love single color jobs too, but a 2-tone breaks up the norm, and sometimes that's what makes a truck so damn sick. Congrats on the progress man. I want to see pics.

^my apologies for the shitty pictures, this new camera is about impossible to get a clear shot, you need to be a robot I think. If you move just a smidgen it will be blurry.

Re: So I finally started...

i did it per recommendation from barely legal. It had to do with the camber on the blazer spindles, plus for drop spindles on a blazer its like twice the money lol

Re: So I finally started...

haha! i can explain a little on this... i went through this big ass problem, apparently blazer drop spindles and s-10 drop spindles are different on many levels! when i first got all my stuff together i was getting retarded positive camber when raising the truck and especially at full lift. so bad it was hitting my fenders on the way up! i couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. well if you take an s-10 drop spindle and a blazer drop spindle and set them on a work bench, the blazer spindle is about 2 inches taller! completely different offset, it'll mess you up! so that is why you have to swap out to some s-10 drop spindles! who would have thought!

Could you explain this a little more because I just bought a set of blazer drop spindles so I can run a dual piston calipers. And I just went out and compared them to a set of s-10 drop spindles and they look exactly the same to me.

Depends on what year the blazer is. 1st gen blazers have the same spindle as an S-10

Re: So I finally started...

I dont have the abillity to compare ( I dont have a spindle from both vehicles ). I was told they are different, so I switched to an S-10 spindle. It didnt hurt my feelings, because as previously stated, the blazer drop spindles are expensive (300 compared to 150 is a good thing in my books!)

Re: So I finally started...

thanks a lot there buddy! its fun so far, but I am sure that I will hit some spots that make me want to rip my hair out lol. I already have an issue with the rear tire rubbing the wheel well. really don't want to go pounding or grinding on it, and I dont want to buy new tires lol.
