Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
Well i just ordered about $700 worth of parts today.
480 dual pack, stainless 5 gal, some switches, bag brackets, re8's for the rear, and some other nice goodies. I also already have some brand new 3/8" smc valves. I want to finish all the major fabrication by the end of this month, then start finishing the truck in may. |

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
cool ideas man, are you planning on changing the stock mounting locations of the sway bar?? Mine bends the endlinks now and i only have 18's, i have played around with the length of the bolts and spacers to minimize it but the suspension arc still kills the bushings.

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
yeah i'm switching to FB, so i need a swaybar now... also it is a zq8 swaybar i got off my buddy. So far the bar is bolted in upside-down. i have been looking at it lifted and laid out and i'm going to have to cut a small portion on the sides of the frame where the swaybar bends. Once i do that, the swaybar will have nice long links to the control arms and the sway bar will sit just barely above the tierod bracket on the spindle for turning clearance. Then i simply have to make some basic tabs for the control arms.
UPDATE: today I relocated the brake booster over 1 1/4". now i wil have plenty of clearance. I have the whole cab finished minus a few hours of welding. I'm hoping to get this cab off very soon to spray underneith and the firewall. Last edited by lowdime96 : 04-18-2007 at 11:16 PM. |

I found a solution to keeping your swaybar with big wheels and it requires relatively no major fab work ![]() |
