Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
wheels are centered nicely, tires fit decently on the rims, rims have a HUGE lip, you got lotsa negative camber, and the wheels are just plain sexy!

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
All the work is getting done at my house. I can just barely untuck tire in the front at full lift, but i'm going to try to find some different ball joints or try to mod mine to get a little more. I'm running an re-7 which maxes out the front suspension.

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
i'm running sd arms. The thing that sucks about stock spindles is the amount of camber you get. I'm helping finish up my buddy's truck right now, which we are laying out 20's on stock spindles. The amount of camber is insane. We aren't even sure if its going to lay out because the SD arms hit the bottom of the frame 3/4" before laying out. If i wanted to run stock spindles it might be possible, but i would have to run the brake booster under the cab and I would have to notch about 1 1/2" out of the bottom of the frame right where the spring pockets are. I would also probably have to weld the bag cup in and cut a hole in the top of the pocket to run the line through becuase the cup would be too small to fit the fitting and the lines. I also want to try to run a swaybar and it wouldn't be even close to possible w/ stock spindles.

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
I Agree. I was thinking of running stock spindles with my SD arms but when I test fitted them the camber was re-donk-ulous. Too much for me.

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
If anyone can post pics of giant tubs and clutch pedals i would appriciate it. My tub is 3" away from the brake pedal! I have no idea how i'm going to get the clutch to work at all.

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
yeah my tubs are almost 9" deep and start right where the clutch used to be. My problem is that i just don't see anyway to place the pedal unless it is in front of the tub with almost no throw.
here is a pic w/ the tub tacked in. ![]() Last edited by lowdime96 : 03-21-2007 at 12:54 AM. |

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
just find an auto and say fukk it, it seems pretty much impossible to find room for all 3 pedals in there and have them work properly

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
I'm not running 22's but i made my tub go as far over as I could and to tall. lol. It goes all the way over to where the brake booster bolts up.. you can see below.
My clutch is going parallel (sp) with the cowl. I have not finished it up! it is just a mock up of the idea that I had. I wanted to make sure the lever ratio was right and what not. As far as not having enough throw. The pivot point it a little lower than factory, so it allows the pedal to travel the right distance. If I remember right, the pedal stick out a bit more than the brake, but not by alot. If you wanted to get crazy, You can make the pedal arm the radius of the tub, and when fully pressed down, it hugs the tub completley, that way you will have enough throw and the pedal itself should be level with the break. Hope this helps any. sorry it ain't done to better help you out, but just an idea. ![]() ![]() again... no making fun of shitty layout right now.. not even clost to done Last edited by drps10 : 03-21-2007 at 01:21 PM. |

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
here is a list of what i have left to do.... its a long one!
• Driveshaft tunnel • raise floor for gas tank • finish firewall and floor • Clutch • Brakes • Wiper cowl • Setup wiring • Remove cab • apply finishing and touches to firewall and underneath cab • wire tail lights and transmission / exhaust sensors • install gas tank • get driveshaft shortened • Reinstall cab • install fatmat • install cab wiring, pedals, and steering column • Finish frame horns, notch tie rods, trim pockets. • Setup front shocks • Check to see if zq8 sway bar will work, if so setup • Undercoat front half of frame • paint / get painted – control arms and spindles •run new air line and assemble front suspension • Recess radiator into support • Notch intake manifold • modify hood to clear intake and tires • Complete wiring and engine assembly • Start engine • rebuild back-half after notches • fabricate rear lever setup • install weld-on lower axle tabs • fabricate rear shock system • Body drop the bed • Sheet metal the bed floor • run air management • Completely install interior • fix 1000 problems after first test drive |

Re: Project ~ stock floored on 22s
Like I said on DropnDrag, your's is the only s10 on 22's i've ever seen that I think looks good. And I can't get over how much I love those wheels!! Do they sell them in 18's or 20's? And do you have a link for them?
