Re: (Project) Stock Floor Body Drop
just incase anyone is wondering here's what my setup will consist of....
2600# bags (front - Stones and rear - Airlift) 1/2 line (6) 1/2 valves (2) 3/8 valves (3) Viair 450s 12 Gallon Tank Stainless PTC fittings 16 or 20 gal fuel cell SD. Superlift 4 Link BYC Uppers and Lower Stock Spindles (2) Water Traps 115/150 PS Either Belltech or Toxic Shocks I'm hoping the only thing in the bed will be the tank Only things left to get are the 4 link & fuel cell Last edited by MiniTuckin' : 10-18-2005 at 06:24 PM. |

Re: (Project) Stock Floor Body Drop
![]() why does it look like there are just big shitty holes where there should be welds? It looks like maybe the pieces were cut with a torch and have only been tacked together so far. Please tell me you have a chopsaw.... |

Re: (Project) Stock Floor Body Drop
yes we have a chopsaw..... we did use a torch to cut it because holding this stuff up is a bisch. Anyways there isn't big holes in it... and it is just tacked... when it gets welded up and such you'll never tell there was a hole there.

Re: (Project) Stock Floor Body Drop
it doesn't touch in all spots you are correct... but i took and angle grinder and smoothed off the slag so more of it touches now to make a good weld.

Re: (Project) Stock Floor Body Drop
Before Brent or anyone else rags on this pic i know it has nothing welded inside... i just cut it out to make plenty of room for the tierods so i can put some 1/4 metal inside to box it in for strength

Re: (Project) Stock Floor Body Drop
well before anyone says anything i didn't have the cam with me... my bro carried it to a car show so i'll get the pics up tomorrow. But tonight we cut the old frame away and threw it out in someone's yard next door and put the new framerails in and got them pretty straight... gonna finish squaring them up tomorrow and start welding them up

Re: (Project) Stock Floor Body Drop
dude that is pretty hack. i'm sorry, but u dont cut your frame rails with a torch. your frame needs to be accurate and both raisl need to be the same. there is NO way you are getting accurate cuts and measurements with a torch.
